Transgender people are a significant and important part of the LGBTQ community, and the issues they face are increasingly prevalent in the press and in the operations of businesses, schools and public sector organisations across the world. Strong organisational support for transgender peers and service users is a must if these industries are to continue to grow and succeed in modern Britain.
Successful businesses run on strong understandings of equality and diversity in all its forms; affording everyone dignity and making people feel included. Building a workplace that recognises and supports the needs of transgender people will improve both internal performance and companies’ image and reputation.
