Emma Simpson is an experienced activist, trainer and facilitator passionate about transgender awareness. An honours graduate of International Relations from the University of Leeds, Emma has spent the last 6 years doing a combination of working in the education, charitable and public sectors, and campaigning for LGBTQ rights. In 2015, Emma came out to their workplace as a non-binary transgender person, meaning that they identify as neither a man nor a woman. They therefore know first-hand the barriers and difficulties that trans people experience both at work and in their day-to-day lives. It is important to Emma that training and consultancy is delivered by people that are not only experts in national and international policy, but who have lived experience of being transgender. In employing Emma, you are accessing both a wealth of expert policy knowledge and a connection to real transgender communities in the UK.
